Description

Greater Pond Sedge (Carex riparia) is a vigorous, clump-forming perennial sedge native to wet habitats across the UK. Typically found along riverbanks, ditches, and marshes, it features tall, upright stems with broad, grey-green leaves and distinctive dark brown flower spikes appearing in late spring to early summer. Carex riparia is excellent for stabilizing soil in wetland areas and provides important cover and habitat for wildlife.
