Description

Greater Bird’s-foot Trefoil (Lotus pedunculatus) is related to Common Bird’s-foot Trefoil but prefers damper habitats. It grows in wetlands, rush pastures, marshes, along rivers, lakes and ponds. The plant is found throughout most of the UK and Ireland, except in parts of northern Scotland and central Ireland. Its bright yellow flowers attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Making it a valuable addition to wet grasslands and riparian habitats.
