Description

Black Medick (Medicago lupulina) is a low-growing annual or short-lived perennial that thrives in grasslands, road verges, and other disturbed soils across the UK. It has small, clover-like leaves and forms dense mats that help suppress weeds. Clusters of tiny yellow flowers appear from spring to autumn, attracting bees and other pollinators. These are followed by distinctive black seed pods that persist into winter. As a nitrogen-fixer, Medicago lupulina enriches the soil, supporting surrounding plants and contributing to healthy, biodiverse habitats.

Our Black Medick plug plants for sale are priced per plant. This product has a minimum quantity of 10 plug plants. For orders over 500 plug plants please contact us.

All our plants are native British wildflowers grown in Peat-free compost in our sustainable nursery.
