Description

Betony (Stachys officinalis) is a perennial herb belonging to the mint family. It grows widely across England and Wales but is generally absent from Scotland and Ireland. This herb produces striking purple flowers that bloom in summer, adding color to grasslands and woodland edges. Betony thrives in a variety of habitats, from mildly acidic to alkaline soils. It prefers damp, well-drained areas and is commonly found on riverbanks, roadsides, open woodlands, and traditional grasslands. The plant’s upright stems and attractive foliage make it a recognizable and valuable addition to wildflower-rich landscapes.

Our Betony plug plants for sale are priced per plant. This product has a minimum quantity of 10 plug plants. For orders over 500 plug plants please contact us.

All our plants are native British wildflowers grown in Peat-free compost in our sustainable nursery.
