Description

Common Spotted Orchid (Dactylorhiza fuchsii) is an elegant perennial wildflower recognised for its pale pink to purple blooms marked with intricate darker spots and lines. Each flower spike rises above slender, spotted leaves, creating a striking display from early to mid-summer. It grows well in meadows, woodlands, and grasslands, favouring moist, well-drained soils. This orchid attracts bees and other insects, adding both beauty and ecological value to natural and semi-natural habitats.
