Tragopogon pratensis, commonly known as Meadow Salsify or GoatsBeard, is a biennial wildflower found across much of the UK. It produces large, bright yellow flowers that resemble oversized dandelions, opening in the morning and closing by midday. The plant grows in meadows, grass verges, and open grassy areas, adding cheerful colour through early summer. After flowering, it forms impressive spherical seed heads that catch the light and drift in the breeze.
Our Goatsbeard plug plants for sale are priced per plant. This product has a minimum quantity of 10 plug plants. For orders over 500 plug plants please contact us.
All our plants are native British wildflowers grown in Peat-free compost in our sustainable nursery.
