Viper’s Bugloss (Echium vulgare) is a striking perennial with tall, spiky stems. It produces vivid blue flowers from June to September, attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Common in dry grasslands, roadside verges, and meadows across the UK, it adds height, colour, and wildlife value to naturalised gardens and wildflower habitats.

Viper's Bugloss grows best in full sunlight on well drained chalky or sandy soils ,although it can tolerate a range of soil types including nutritionally poor soils. It is also tolerant of maritime exposure. |
