Commonly found on calcareous grasslands, limestone slopes, coastal cliffs, and roadside banks throughout the UK. Small Scabious thrives in well-drained, nutrient-poor soils and performs best in full sun. Its compact, clump-forming habit adds long-lasting colour and texture to species-rich meadows and habitat restoration projects.
The nectar-rich flowers are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, hoverflies, and other pollinating insects. Providing an important late summer food source.
