Description

Dyer’s Greenweed (Genista tinctoria) is a compact native perennial wildflower that produces upright spikes of bright yellow flowers from June to August. Its colourful display brings texture and long-lasting interest to wildflower meadows, grasslands, and heathland planting schemes.

This species thrives in dry to moderately moist, well-drained soils and grows best in full sun. It naturally occurs in open grasslands, heaths, woodland edges, and scrub across the UK. Consequently, it is an excellent choice for habitat restoration, meadow creation, and conservation projects.

The nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects throughout the summer. In addition, as a member of the pea family, Dyer’s Greenweed helps improve soil fertility by fixing nitrogen. Its bushy habit also provides valuable shelter for insects and adds structure to species-rich plantings.

Our Dyer’s Greenweed plug plants for sale are priced per plant. This product has a minimum quantity of 10 plug plants. For orders over 500 plug plants please contact us.
