Description

Self-heal (Prunella vulgaris) is a resilient perennial found throughout the UK in wood clearings, grassy meadows, damp dune hollows, and even lawns left to grow naturally. It produces distinctive violet, cone-shaped flowers clustered tightly on short spikes from June to October. Low-growing and spreading by creeping stems, Prunella vulgaris thrives in a variety of soils and conditions. Its long flowering period provides a valuable nectar source for bees and butterflies, while its hardy nature makes it a cornerstone species in wildflower meadows and naturalised gardens.

True to its historical name, this herb was utilized as a master wound-healing plant (“All-Heal”). It was relied upon to stem bleeding and treat skin ulcers due to its highly astringent and antibacterial properties.

Our Self-Heal plug plants for sale are priced per plant. This product has a minimum quantity of 10 plug plants. For orders over 500 plug plants please contact us.
