Chives (Allium schoenoprasum) Herb

Chives (Allium schoenoprasum) grow in neat, clumping tufts of slender, hollow leaves. This hardy perennial reaches 30-45 centimetres tall. In late spring, it produces round, purple flower heads which attract bees and other pollinators.. Which thrives in full sun with well drained soil. Additionally, the plant tolerates light shade and adapts to containers or garden borders. Regular trimming maintains a tidy appearance and encourages dense growth. Chives are low maintenance and are a reliable plant making them ideal for ornamental planting schemes.
