Bush Vetch (Vicia sepium) commonly known as bush vetch, is a perennial climbing plant from the legume family Fabaceae. It typically grows in hedgerows, woodland edges, and grasslands across Europe and parts of Asia. The plant features slender, trailing stems with pinnate leaves composed of multiple pairs of oval-shaped leaflets and tendrils that help it climb. In late spring and early summer, it produces small clusters of pale purple or pinkish flowers, which later develop into flattened seed pods. Vicia sepium is an important nitrogen-fixing plant, often supporting soil health in its environment.
