Wood Melick (Melica uniflora) is a graceful perennial grass with slender, arching stems and soft green foliage. It typically reaches 30–60 cm in height and produces airy, greenish to creamy flower spikes from May to June. Found in woodlands, shaded banks, and hedgerows, it brings a light, elegant texture to naturalistic plantings. Its subtle blooms and refined form make it a valuable species for enhancing biodiversity in shaded or semi-shaded habitats.
