Description

Greater Knapweed (Centaurea scabiosa) is a medium to tall native perennial that thrives on a variety of grasslands with dry, calcareous soils. It is generally absent from intensively managed meadows and pastures, preferring taller swards where it can establish and flower. Occasionally, it can also be found in scrubland, along woodland edges, on road verges, and on waste ground. Its vibrant purple flower heads attract a wide range of pollinators, including bees and butterflies, adding both colour and ecological value to wildflower rich habitats.

Our Greater Knapweed plug plants for sale are priced per plant. This product has a minimum quantity of 10 plug plants. For orders over 500 plug plants please contact us.

All our plants are native British wildflowers grown in Peat-free compost in our sustainable nursery.
