Spiked Water-Milfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum) is a perennial aquatic plant with finely divided, feathery green leaves that form dense underwater mats. From summer, it produces distinctive pinkish-red flower spikes that rise just above the water’s surface. The plant thrives in ponds, lakes, and slow-moving rivers, providing shelter and habitat for fish and invertebrates. Myriophyllum spicatum adds texture, colour, and ecological value to freshwater environments.
