Description

Marsh Woundwort (Stachys palustris) is a perennial herb with upright stems reaching 60–100 cm. Its lance-shaped, toothed leaves are deep green. The plant produces spikes of pale purple to pink flowers from June to September. Stachys palustris grows in damp meadows, marshes, riverbanks, and wet grasslands across the UK. Its flowers attract bees and other pollinators, adding colour, structure, and ecological value to wetland habitats.
