Description

Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus) forms a woody, evergreen shrub with narrow, needle-like leaves. This plant grows to around 100-150 centimetres tall. Strong, upright stems create a dense, structured shape. In spring and early summer, pale blue flowers appear along the stems. It thrives in full sun and well drained soil it can also tolerate drought and exposed conditions once established. The foliage releases a fresh, resinous scent when touched. Regular pruning is advised to maintains a compact form.
