Field (Scented) Mayweed (Matricaria chamomilla) is an aromatic annual herb with finely divided, feathery leaves. It produces cheerful daisy-like flowers with white petals and golden-yellow centres. Flowering from May to September, it thrives in sunny, well drained soils. The plant is widely appreciated for its calming herbal teas and traditional medicinal uses. Its bright flowers also attract pollinators, adding both colour and ecological value to meadows, field edges, and wildflower plantings.
