Description

Green-Ribbed Sedge (Carex binervis) is a tufted perennial found on wet heaths, moorlands, and acidic boggy ground across the UK. It has narrow, arching leaves and tall stems topped with drooping flower spikes, each featuring distinctive green-veined bracts that appear from May to July. A characteristic sedge of upland habitats, Carex binervis provides shelter for insects and small wildlife and contributes to the structure and stability of wetland ecosystems. Its graceful form adds texture and interest to naturalistic plantings in boggy or acidic soils.

Our Green-Ribbed sedge plug plants for sale are priced per plant. This product has a minimum quantity of 10 plug plants. For orders over 500 plug plants please contact us.

All our plants are native British wildflowers grown in Peat-free compost in our sustainable nursery.
