Description

Honeysuckle (Lonicera periclymenum) is a deciduous climber with grey-green, oval-shaped leaves. Its trumpet-shaped flowers are usually creamy white, pink, or pale yellow and give off a sweet scent, most noticeable in the evening and at night. The blooms are followed by clusters of red berries in autumn, which provide food for wild birds during winter. Honeysuckle grows in woodland and hedgerows and is commonly trained on walls and fences in gardens across the UK.
