Common Bistort (Persicaria bistorta) is a perennial herb found in damp meadows, stream edges, and wet grasslands across the UK. It has distinctive pink, bottlebrush-like flower spikes that appear from late spring to early summer, above a rosette of broad, wavy-edged leaves. A valuable nectar source for insects, Persicaria bistorta is often included in wildflower mixes for wetland restoration.
