Hairy St John’s Wort (Hypericum hirsutum) is a perennial herb growing up to 100 cm tall with bright yellow, star-shaped flowers and softly hairy stems and leaves. It thrives in woodlands, meadows, and grassy clearings across Europe, preferring well-drained soils and sunny to partially shaded sites. The plant attracts bees and other pollinators and adds vibrant colour and structure to naturalistic and semi-wild landscapes.
