Description

Hydrocharis morsus-ranae, Frogbit is a free-floating aquatic plant found in still or slow-moving freshwater bodies such as ponds, ditches, and canals across the UK. It has small, heart-shaped leaves that resemble miniature water lilies and produces delicate white flowers with yellow centres during summer. Frogbit forms floating mats that provide cover for aquatic wildlife and contribute to the ecological balance of freshwater habitats.
