Weld (Reseda luteola) is a tall, hardy perennial growing 60–120 cm high, with upright stems and narrow green leaves. From June to September, it produces spikes of bright yellow flowers that attract bees and other pollinators. The plant thrives in well-drained soils, often on disturbed ground, meadows, and roadsides. Historically valued as a source of natural yellow dye, Reseda luteola adds colour, height, and ecological interest to wildflower meadows, naturalistic plantings, and herb gardens.
