Water Violet (Hottonia palustris) is a striking perennial aquatic plant reaching 30–40 cm in height. From June to August, it produces delicate pale purple to white flowers atop feathery submerged foliage. The plant thrives in ponds, slow-moving rivers, and shallow lakes, providing shelter for aquatic insects and invertebrates. Hottonia palustris adds colour, texture, and ecological value to naturalistic and wetland plantings.
