Description

Water Forget-Me-Not (Myosotis scorpioides) is a beautiful native perennial wildflower. That produces masses of small, bright blue flowers with yellow centres from May to September. Its creeping growth habit and long flowering period make it an excellent choice for ponds, streams, wetlands, and other damp habitats where it provides season-long colour and valuable wildlife habitat.

Commonly found along pond margins, ditches, marshes, slow-moving streams, and wet grasslands throughout the UK. Water Forget-Me-Not thrives in consistently moist or shallow water conditions. Growing best in full sun or partial shade, it spreads naturally to form attractive colonies that help soften pond edges and enhance natural landscapes.

The nectar-rich flowers attract bees, hoverflies, butterflies, and other pollinating insects. While the dense foliage offers shelter for amphibians and aquatic invertebrates. As a UK native wildflower, Water Forget-Me-Not is an excellent choice for wetland restoration, pond creation, sustainable drainage (SuDS) schemes, and ecological landscaping projects.
