Description

Oxeye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) is a familiar grassland perennial and the largest native member of the daisy family in the UK. It has medium-tall, unbranched stems topped with solitary white flowers surrounding a yellow disc. Its toothed, spoon-shaped leaves on long stalks are distinctive once recognised. Also called Moon Daisy or Dog Daisy, Leucanthemum vulgare attracts a wide range of pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and hoverflies, adding both colour and ecological value to meadows and grasslands.
