Description

Bottle Sedge (Carex rostrata) is a rhizomatous plant with light green, flask-shaped fruit spikes. The female flowers have three stigmas, and the utricles have a forked beak. Found in marshes, bogs, and wet meadows, as well as at the edges of lakes and ponds, in rivers and streams, and in ditches, fens, and bog pools.
