Peppermint (Mentha piperita) Herb

Peppermint (Mentha piperita) grows as perennial with dark green leaves and upright stems. This plant reaches around 60-90 centimetres tall. It spreads quickly and forms dense, leafy clumps. In summer, small pale purple flowers appear above the foliage. It grows best in moist, well drained soil and tolerates light shade. Additionally, regular cutting helps control spread and encourages fresh growth. The textured leaves release a cool, refreshing scent when handled. Finally, peppermint attracts pollinators and adds lush greenery, movement, and fragrance to borders and containers.
