Description

Sage (Salvia officinalis) forms a compact, woody perennial with soft, grey/green leaves. This plant grows to around 60 centimetres tall. During summer, it produces spikes of pale purple flowers. It tolerates drought and poor soils once established therefore Salvia officinalis thrives in areas that get full sun. The textured leaves release a strong, aromatic scent when touched. Regular pruning encourages bushy growth and prevents legginess. Its flowers attracts pollinators and adds structure, colour, and texture to borders, containers, and perennial gardens.

All our plants are native British herbs are grown in Peat free compost in our sustainable nursery.
