Description

Bugle (Ajuga reptans) is a small perennial plant that produces blue flowers on the top of each set of leaves. It is a good early source of nectar for a wide number of insects. Its leaves are dark green, with purple highlights. Bugle can be seen in damp woods, hedge banks, and meadows. It is a good nectar plant for pearl-bordered fritillary and marsh fritillary.
