Tortoise Pot Plant Mixes

Our Tortoise Pot Plant Mixes contain a selection of tortoise-safe feeding plants, available in three different sizes:

• 6 Plant Mix – 1 pot of each of 6 different species
• 10 Plant Mix – 2 pots of each of 5 different species
• 14 Plant Mix – 2 pots of each of 7 different species

All the pot mixes use 9cm pots as the size of the pots.

The plants are selected from the following species:

• Common Cats ear
• Dandelion
• Field Scabious
• Greater Knapweed
• Kidney Vetch
• Musk Mallow
• Oxeye Daisy
• Red Clover
• Teasel
• White Clover

Note – the Tortoise plug plant mix will include plants that are ready at the time of order.

• All our animal food plants have been grown in organic certified peat free growing media.
• Grown without chemical sprays, pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. This means there is not risk of any chemical residue in the plant.
• Our plant list has been generated from the Tortoise Society eating list.
• All our plants are safe and suitable for tortoises to eat.
• Dandelion is a natural source of fibre and minerals that supports healthy digestion. Ideal as part of a varied and balanced tortoise diet.
• Easy to grow in pots or outdoors. Prefers full sun to partial shade and regrows well after grazing.
• Growth may slow during colder months.
• Always wash before feeding. Introduce new foods gradually.
