Description
Toadflax (Linaria vulgaris) is a perennial wildflower with tall, upright stems and narrow leaves. It grows on roadsides, grasslands, and waste ground. Usually preferring chalky well drained soils. From June to October, it produces dense spikes of yellow, snapdragon-like flowers with orange throats. Its long flowering season provides nectar for bees and butterflies, making it a valuable addition to wildflower meadows and naturalised plantings.
