Greater Stitchwort (Stellaria holostea) is one of the earliest spring flowers. It produces large, star-shaped white blooms on slender stalks from April to June. You’ll find it in hedgerows, along woodland margins, and on woodland rides across much of the UK. It is less common in northern Scotland and western Ireland. Bees and other pollinators visit its flowers, making it an important early source of nectar and adding fresh colour to spring landscapes.
