Our English Bluebell plants are true native bluebells grown from seed sourced from our native woodland or taken from woodlands we work with. We can guarantee our Bluebell plants are true UK Native species. One of the most magnificent spectacles of the British Isles is its woodlands, blanketed with English bluebells in the springtime. Bluebells prefer well-drained soils in woodlands, scrub, pastures, heaths and sea-cliffs.
The term “In the green” describes bulbs that are actively growing rather than dormant, with visible green shoots. Planting bulbs in the green helps them establish more successfully, as you put them in the ground while they are alive and growing, reducing the risk of failure. You typically plant these bulbs in spring, unlike dry bulbs, which you plant in autumn.
The English bluebell bulbs are 3 year old bulbs. They range in size and shape (the picture is a guide but usually about 18-25mm length). We start checking our bulb areas in early August and lift the plants ready for despatch in late August or early September.
Price quoted per bulb. This product has a minimum quantity of 20 bulbs. For orders over 2000 Bluebells please contact us as we can arrange bespoke quotations.
All our plants are native British wildflowers grown from wild seed in our sustainable peat free nursery.
